For those of you paying attention, our Annual General Meeting was held on 14 July where we agreed a few minor changes to the branch committee:
Taking the helm from Derek Blackshaw, who has held the position for some 4 years, is Ian Turner. Ian has been a branch member for around 22 yearsand has previously held committee posts including that of Chairman.
Derek Blackshaw takes up the vice-chair but continues to provide support to both NBSS and Barrel Organ.

With Jackie Parker now national CAMRA Chair Tim Page the current chief executive of CAMRA is moving on and returning to the charity sector. As yet there is no news of how his successor will be recruited.

Our recent Special City Saunter was a great success getting out the message that Salisbury is open, safe and welcoming & raising the profile of branch. It was had national coverage from the BBC tv as well as the headline item on South Today. Well done to all who took part. Let's keep the momentum & use Barrel Organ to spread the message. There are plenty of spare copies for you to distribute as go to Festivals or on holiday. |

The CAMRA Salisbury and South Wilts Branch Pub Of The Year presentation to the Victoria and Albert at Netherhampton took place on Tuesday 13 March. Photos to follow
Branch Town Pub of The Year Presentation will be to the Rai d'Or at 5:30pm on March 29.

The Branch 2018 pubs of the year have been chosen and the pubs selected to go forward for the next edition of the Good Beer Guide are currently being surveyed. Very many thanks to all those members who contributed to the decision-making by casting their vote and to those who are currently surveying. GOOD NEWS WITH PUB REOPENINGS
In Salisbury Deacons on Fisherton Street, the Anchor and Hope in Winchester Street, the Horse and Groom on Wilton Road and the Cloisters on Catherine Street have all reopened following closure and refurbishment.
